My First Game Jam

Casualty of Time is a 2D puzzle-platformer developed for the two week Summer 2023 My First Game Jam on Itch.io. Inspired by the "cycles" theme from the jam, the player must beat each level a few times in a row to proceed to the next. The catch is that helpful wooden block platforms deteriorate with use and don't regenerate across loops, forcing the player to plan their current and future routes.

Working with a Team

I worked with some friends of mine to complete this project. This introduced some challenges as everyone had different schedules to work on the project. Despite this, I was able to create a vision based on my desires and the desires of the team. Then I directed everyone involved in what was needed and communicated the current overall progress to each member. As a result, my team members produced deliverables in time for the game jam's end.
